Its been a while that I’ve visited this space. Now that could mean a whole lot of things, but the sincere way of putting it is “I m lazy”. Oh yeah, for sure.
This weekend was no less different to the many in US. A couple of movies, sleep, drinks, sleep (again)… duh!.
But yeah, after a long long time I saw two movies back to back in a theatre. By doing this I ve equaled my own record… when was that… sometime during college days… well don’t remember.

I wanted to see this movie from the time I caught a glimpse of the trailor. This one looked to be a hilarious comedy with Adam sandler’s buffonery. Its all about a workaholic acquiring an universal remote by which he can fast fwd through his life, pause it, slow it and what not. Its amazing how hollywood comes up with myriad ideas and instills them into the viewer.
Its even more amazing as to how these films become archetypes to innumerable Bollywood ones… he he…
Click turned out to be OK, not as funny as I expected. It has got its moments with the underlying message as to take life as it comes, to enjoy every moment and appreciate it. The writers have used the same technique thats in Bruce Almighty and almost carries it off. Decent film, 3 Stars

Well, I wanted to see this film too, but for diametrically <wicked> opposite reasons </wicked>…Now I mentioned how hollywood films serves as the staple diet to our desi ones. Dont belive… just read through.
Krrish starts where Rakesh Roshan’s ET meets Forrest Gump ends.
We are introduced to Junior Gump who is unsually bright with exceptional IQ… And oh yeah, with muscles of steel. But Jr. Gump wears that trademark Rohit (dumb) smile and we sigh a relief… OO la laa… something has been inherited from Pa Gump (well… what’s the name of Hrithik Roshan in KMG??… Shah Rukh and Hrithik uses these Raj, Rohit…Rohit, Raj names so much that its hard to keep track)
He starts of playing cricket when his muscles of steel intervene in a cover drive and the bat goes ‘Over the Hedge’, switches to volley but a rock is smashed to pieces by the ball, the culprit again being…. yeah u got it.
Jr. Gump solves math problems for his seniors in school and slowly his amazing powers come to the fore. Now Rekha grandma is worried and belives that the same forces that resulted in his Sons’ n In laws’ life would be back to get Jr Gump.
